Pay Rates
- Our pay rates reward colleagues who are keen to learn and develop your skills. If you do not have a Level 2 qualification when you are appointed you will need to complete your Care Certificate (If required and you are new to working in care) and start working towards your Level 2. Once you have been successful and been awarded your Level 2, your pay will increase.
- When you have passed your probation, you will receive a further pay rise.
- We pay extra at weekends.
If the pay rate says “fixed rate” then it doesn’t change due to the qualifications gained or length of services. Colleagues are provided lots of training at Mencap in Kirklees and there are no charges for any of the courses. There are also no uniforms to buy. If you must travel as part of your job, you will be paid an allowance for using your own car for work but you must have business use insurance.
