37 HOURS

 

Hourly rate from £10.65 – £11.10 per hour
(An additional allowance will be paid for providing on call)

Mencap in Kirklees is a local charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families and carers. We have been established for over 70 years and we’re well respected in the Kirklees area.

We are expanding and are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to work alongside the current Team Leaders and the Registered Manager. The post holder will be based at a supported living tenancy but will involve travel across Kirklees. There will be a requirement to be part of the on-call team for which an additional on-call allowance will be incorporated into the salary. The role of the Team Leader is to deal with day-to-day issues along with driving quality improvements in line with CQC regulations.

A previous care background is not essential if you have the potential, passion and motivation to succeed in this role. Some knowledge of CQC regulations and legislation is desirable but full training will be provided. Transferable skills would be an advantage. Customer care skills are essential.

The successful candidate must have, or be willing to work towards, their NVQ Level 3.
