Support Worker – Branches Day Centre

Mencap in Kirklees

20 hours per week over 3 days  

 

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (with an element of flexibility)

 

(between 9am & 4.30pm) 

 

£11.54 to £11.94 per hour dependent on qualifications

Branches, just outside the centre of Batley, offers life opportunities for adults over 40 years of age with a  learning disability. Up to 20 people a day attend and enjoy activities in the local Batley community,  surrounding areas and in the day centre. Our aim is to provide people we support in a person-centred  way to achieve their goals and ambitions and support them to have their best day possible. We are open  from 9am to 4.30pm each week-day. 

 

Mencap in Kirklees day services have 9-seater people carriers to support our members with travelling  around the community to enjoy different activities. Being a driver is essential with a full UK driving  licence and with at least 2 years’ experience as a driver. Exceptions can be made for people with a  disability. 

 

Due to the nature of the role, we will pay for you to complete an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service  (DBS) check, prior to starting with us.
